I'm going to offer you an apology, right up front. I'm sorry. I really am. Why? Because I know this introduction is going to run long. Will it be interesting? I hope so...but I can't speak for you.

What I can tell you, is that what you see will be truthful, and will be full of information, both on this page, and throughout the site, which will save you time, money and effort, in your pursuit of a home. Information which most agents won't tell you...and don't want you to find out.

How do I know that? Because I'm one of an extremely rare breed, and getting you the lowest price, at the best possible terms, on the home you want--not the one I think you want, but the one you think you want--is my entire reason for being in business.

My name is Jay Reifert, and I'm an Exclusive Buyer Agent, EBA. In the entire United States, there are less than one thousand exclusive buyer agents out of more than 1.25 Million Realtors®. In Wisconsin, there are less than ten of us...and in the Greater Madison Area, only two EBAs exist. We are a rare breed, indeed. (Feel free to Google the concept of exclusive buyer agency or, for that matter, to Google my name, Jay Reifert. Both will be informative.)

Exclusive Buyer Agents do not list homes, or represent seller interests. They also do not work for firms that list property or represent seller interests. EBAs work only and always for home buyers. We don't think it is right to subject our clients to the conflicts of interest that can arise in transactions where both the buyer and seller are represented by the same firm...or by the same agent.

Let me say again, Exclusive Buyer Agents only represent home buyers. Even as important, we're paid through the transaction, just like any other licensee...so it costs you nothing more to have us, than to have one of them.

As of February of 2008, I have loyally and faithfully served more than four hundred buyer clients in their pursuit of a home. I'd love to have the chance to work for you, too.

Everything I know and do, is all about watching out for you. Period.

Things that will help you avoid making mistakes which might not become apparent to you, for several years, if you make a poor choice in a real estate agent.
